John C. Hockinson Jr.

Strategic program management leader, AI solutions developer and technology entrepreneur.

I lead complex projects. I build intelligent solutions.

Eighteen years running telecom and infrastructure programs, from tower tops to multimillion-dollar fiber buildouts. Now I build the software that keeps that kind of work on schedule.

Fifteen years of roles, read as a schedule. Program leadership and software building overlap from 2024. Leading programs Building software
  • MasTec

Ran the MNS Central Texas Program: multiple multimillion-dollar turnkey OSP fiber buildouts, alongside business-as-usual work and on-demand emergency services.

  • MasTec

Designed a Smartsheet program that let OSP field crews close out tasks from their phones, and gave every stakeholder the same live view.

  • Nexius

Took wireless network-integrity projects from initiation to closure: plans, budgets, vendors, procurement and regulatory compliance.

  • Ansco & Associates

Chosen to train construction managers, build crews and Tiger Teams on difficult installs, work that led to a zero-punch rating with AT&T.

The same discipline, two toolkits

I built my first Smartsheet program because field crews needed to close tasks from a phone. Everything I build now starts from that kind of problem.

In the field

  • Scope, schedule and budget control on turnkey fiber buildouts
  • Crew, vendor and subcontractor coordination
  • Permitting, zoning and regulatory compliance
  • Financial tracking and executive reporting
  • Safety programs, QA and closeout

In software

  • Smartsheet operating systems: intake, trackers, automation, dashboards
  • Web platforms in Next.js, TypeScript and Supabase
  • AI command centers and local-first AI
  • Customer portals, admin centers and online stores
  • Training and handoff docs so systems stick

Software I've built and run
